One of the Presidential aspirants under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, has said he would effectively manage abundant human and material resources to place the nation on the map of progressive economies.

Ohuabunwa, stated this while soliciting a vote from the party’s faithful in Awka, Anambra State. He said he had acquired vast managerial capacity, exposure and knowledge to fix multifarious challenges weighing down the nation.

He reasoned that the nation’s potential must be harnessed to affect positive changes in every sector of the economy to enable her to rank among the fastest-growing nations.

The aspirant argued that he should be considered to be the party’s flag bearer, and has been with the party since the return of democracy in 1999. “So, I am not a stranger in PDP, vote for me,” he pleaded.

According to him, the nation needs a fearless leader like him who has been in the struggle for a better Nigeria for over three decades

Ohuabunwa, who is also the Convener, of The New Nigeria Group, further stated that the next President of Nigeria should be prepared to step on toes and if possible take the bullet in the course of salvaging the nation.

“When you look at the situation in the country today, you can agree with me that everything is wrong with Nigeria and there are many people who do not want change and they would try to resist it and they can go to any length.

“But I present myself to take the courage and if possible the bullet to return Nigeria to its past glory and I wish to assure you that if elected the narrative will change,” Ohuabunwa said

He further contended that the agitation for a President of Nigeria of Igbo extraction should not be wished away, adding that fairness and justice must be seen to have been done.

“But as our people say anyone that is holding a strong man on the ground is holding himself and by extension holding Nigeria from progressing”

In a remark, a former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Eucharia Azodo said he possessed the needed pedigree and experience in the private sector for the plum job, even as she assured him of their support.
