2023: Another Aspirant joins Plateau State Governorship race

As more aspirants continue to declare their interest to run for various political positions in Nigeria, Mr Manji Gontori has declared to contest for the governorship position in Plateau State north central Nigeria.

Mr Gontori, who is a Business man and also a Politician is contesting in the forth coming general election under the platform of the  Young Progressive Party, YPP.

Picking his Expression of Interest Form at the YPP headquarters in Abuja the nation’s capital  Mr. Gontori said if given the opportunity to serve, he would change the narrative by bringing good governance to the people of the State.

He said he would build a new state by diversifying from oil to mineral resources for a better economy, bring road infrastructure, agricultural development and build more schools.

Mr. Gontori expressed optimism that the party would win the governorship election in the State following the failure of the All Progressives Congress Party, APC in the state.

“As far as we are concerned YPP is the winning party, because YPP started like any other party in Nigeria, by the grace of God YPP will win plateau and what we are going to do differently is that we are going to change the narrative of plateau, Nigeria today needs to diversify from oil to mineral resources and Plateau state is the richest when it comes to mineral resource.” Mr. Gontori explained.

He said YPP was the only party in Nigeria that can govern the country very well.

“YPP is the only platform that can give old and the  youth in Nigeria the avenue to govern Nigerian very well.” Mr. Gontori added.

Mr Gontori contested for Senate in the last election under the platform of the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, before decamping to YPP last year.
