The Anambra state Stakeholders of the People’s Democratic party, PDP have urged the National working Committee, NWC,to effect the will of the people and recognize the ward and local government Congress already conducted.

According to the Stakeholders led by Mr Olisa Metuh, the ward Congress and Local Government Congress were recognized by NWC and backed with Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, report, and the only thing remaining was for the Working Committee to go ahead and conduct the state Congress and primaries.

Mr Metuh stated this in Abuja after the Stakeholders meeting with the the National working Committee, NEC.

Surprisingly, and curiously, they choose to delay the process on grounds of the fact that there was an order to stop them or recognize a different faction, later, a court judgment recognised and affirmed the same list backed by INEC” he said.

But we have noticed the unwillingness on the part of the Working Committee and the national chairman to proceed with the process hence the need for us to go public and plead with the national chairman and the National Working Committee as the custodians of the party administration to please effect the will of the people and recognize the ward and local government Congress” said Mr Metuh.

He said it was imperative that the national chairman and the National Working Committee to obey that list which was the wish of the people any other thing would mean that there was a conspiracy to throw the state into a competition and uphold Godfather over the will and wishes of Anambra people.

Democracy belongs to the people the people have spoken, We all know what the people want, know where they want to go to in the in the national convention. That’s why we’re pleading with the National Working Committee to come to our aid, by giving back the will of the people in Anambra state”.

He said the National working Committee had tried to conduct a ward and local government congresses that had been transparent, free and fair, and prayed that God gives the committee the courage to sustain the results that came up with such a transparent process.
