As the Peoples Democratic party holds its Governorship Primaries across Nigeria, the Kano State Chapter of the Party is holding parallel elections, as two factions in the State battle for supremacy.

Information gathered so far indicates that the Group led by Wada Sagagi, the PDP Chairman, who was only restored yesterday by court order, is holding their primaries at the Lugard House, Kano.

They are fielding Mohammed Abacha and Jafar Sani Bello as contestants.

While the Ambassador, Aminu Wali-led faction is holding its primaries at the Sani Abacha Youth centre, Kano.

The group is fielding Ibrahim little, Sadiq Wali Dr Inusa Dangwoni, Muhi Magaji and other contestants.

Results of the Elections are being awaited at the time of filing in this report.

The Kano state chapter of the PDP has been having a leadership crisis, which has led to court orders and directives from the National headquarters of PDP in managing affairs of the party in the state.

Only yesterday before the court verdict restoring Sagagi, the National headquarters of PDP sent an electoral committee led by the National Secretary of the Congress Committee, Sani Ahmad to supervise the Reps and Senate Primaries in Kano state to fill the gap of lacking leadership in the party.
