The Ogun state chapter of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has conducted a parallel Governorship Primary Election in Abeokuta, the State capital.
Earlier today, an aspirant of the party, Segun Sowunmi emerged the winner at a primary conducted at the NUJ Secretariat Hall, Iwe Iroyin, in Abeokuta.
Segun Sowunmi polled 554 votes while two other aspirants, Oladipupo Adebutu and Jimi Lawal in absentia respectively have 15 and 30 votes, though their agents were present.
Meanwhile, another primary is underway at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, the State capital.
