A former member representing Makarfi and Kudan Local government areas at the green chambers, Isa Ashiru has emerged as the People’s Democratic Party, PDP flag bearer in Kaduna state.
He defeated Sani Sidi, Senator Shehu Sani and other candidates in the just concluded PDP gubernatorial primary elections.
Ashiru won with 414 votes, while Sani Sidi had 260 votes, Sani Abbas got 15 votes and former Kaduna Governor, Ramalan Yero polled 28 votes.
Other aspirants like Haruna Saeed won 11 votes, Shehu Sani had 2 votes and there were 30 invalid votes.
Meanwhile, Senator Sani had on his twitter handle said he accepts the results in good faith and congratulated Ashiru.
Ashiru was a two time governorship flag bearer under the auspices of the PDP.
