A Business Mogul, Alhaji Abdullahi Shuaib Yaman has won the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP primary election in Kwara State, North Central Nigeria.
Yaman scored 518 votes to beat a former member of the House of Representatives, Ahman Patigi who had 31 votes while Prof. Yisa Gana , a former Nigerian Ambassador to Japan, polled 14 votes.
The peaceful exercise was witnessed and supervised by some National officers of the PDP, INEC officials, security agents and Journalists.
The three contestants came from Kwara North Senatorial District, one of the three senatorial districts that made up Kwara State where the governorship position was zoned by the leadership of the party.
Yaman recently defected from the All Progressives Congress APC to the PDP.
He hails from Edu local government area of the state.
