Although the former deputy governor did not explain what he meant by “consideration of the situation on ground”, he commended his supporters and admirers as well as party stakeholders and the people for the show of love during his campaign.
“I thank all my co-aspirants for their camaraderie and show of sportsmanship and wish them the best as they proceed in the race,” the letter stated.
Meanwhile, the PDP governorship primary, which was scheduled for Wednesday May 25 and postponed to Thursday May 26, 2022 is still underway.
The state chairman of the party, Mr. Venatius Ikem said the reason for the shift in date was due to “logistics and security concerns”.
