2023: Liman Kantigi Secures Niger State PDP Governorship Ticket

Alhaji Isah Liman Kantigi has emerged as the 2023 Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in Niger state North Central Nigeria .

Liman Kantigi, a former Chairman of Edati local government council, defeated Alhaji Sani Idris Kutigi and 3 others with a total of 667 votes out of 808 votes cast by delegates

Others floored by Kantigi are Alhaji Abdullahi Jankara 21 votes, Barrister Abdulrahaman Gimba 3 votes and Alhaji Sidi Abdul who did not score any vote.

The results of the primary election which was held in Minna the Niger State capital on Thursday were announced by the PDP Gubernatorial Primaries Election Committee Chairman and Deputy Governor of Bayelsa state Mr Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.

Mr Ewhrudjakpo however, commisirated with members of the PDP in the State over the killing of 3 delegates from Marisa local government area of the State by bandits on their way to the state capital for the election.

Alhaji Sani Idris Kutigi, one of the aspirants who was satisfied with conduct of the election, mentioned to Voice of Nigeria, that he will work together with the Isa Kantiga and the party in wining the 2023 gubernatorial elections.
