Niger State government commits to protecting children’s rights

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State in North-Central Nigeria, has restated his administration’s commitment to protecting the rights of the children.

Governor Sani Bello Who state this in marking the 2023 Children’s day, through his spokesperson Mary Noel Barje, said the children’s rights need to be protected to shield them from any form of abuse and sufferings.

He said as the future leaders of tomorrow, the children need the basic education that will propel and prepare them for the task ahead.

He admonished both parents and teachers to ensure that the children acquire the education that will make them withstand the challenges of life even as he assured that his government will not relent in playing its role effectively and efficiently.

The Governor said all hands must be on deck to safeguard the children in the country against activities of terrorists and as well ensure they do not take up to crime and criminality in the society.

“We all need to ensure that we give our children quality education and inculcate good morals in them, so that they will grow up and add value to the society rather than becoming problems,” he said.
