The winner of the Taraba State House of Assembly Primary election for Lau Local Government Area on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Mr Harry Kanawa, said that there were no arrangements to zone the Governorship position to the people of the northern zone because the party is yet to form a government in the State.

Mr Kanawa stated this in an interview with Voice of Nigeria Correspondent in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.

“The APC in Taraba state has no zoning arrangements because we have not formed a government in the State. Only the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has the zoning arrangements.

But, for us in the APC, we are starting our zoning with the South, and we will keep our agreement when the time comes,” he said.

Also reacting to the crisis that rocked the APC Governorship primaries in the State, Mr Kanawa called on the aggrieved members of the party to channel their grievances to the appeal committees who are saddled with the responsibility of resolving all electoral disputes.

“APC is one big family, and we need to work as one.

“Those who feel aggrieved should not be crying outside. Stakeholders know where to channel their grievances.

But I will also appeal that we put away all our differences and join hands with the party’s flag bearers to win big at the general election, which will benefit all members of the party,” he added.

He called on the people of the State to support the APC Governorship candidate Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, who he said could transform the State.

Mr Kanawa also thanked the delegates and members of the party for finding him worthy of being the party’s flag bearer.

He said if elected at the general election, he would focus on providing scholarships for the teeming youth of the LGA. To boost Education in the constituency and provide basic health facilities.

” I want to thank the people of Lau Local Government Area and members of the APC for giving me this opportunity.

“I want to assure you I have what it takes to deliver the dividends of democracy to our people if I am elected in the general election because I have been in the local council. I know how the administrative and legislative processes are followed.

“My manifestos is meanly to provide education through scholarships, health, security and ensure unity amongst the Communities under Lau Local Government Area,” he said.
