President Muhammadu Buhari is in a crucial meeting with Governors elected under the platform of Nigeria’s governing party, the All Progressives Congress APC.
The meeting, which started at noon local time, is held at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Secretary to Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari are also attending the meeting.
Governors in attendance include those of Ekiti, Nasarawa, Plateau, Yobe, Kebbi, Imo and Katsina among others.
The meeting is expected to consider the party’s prefered choice of candidate for the forthcoming Presidential election, ahead of its primary election slated for June 6-8 in Abuja.
