The Northwest Zonal office of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has described the just concluded Gubernatorial Primaries across the 7 states in the zone as free, fair and credible.
The North West states are Kaduna, Kano Jigawa, Katsina, Zamfara, Kebi and Sokoto.
A statement on the interim report of the exercise signed by the Zonal Chairman of the party, Abdulhamid Umar Muhammad, noted that the primaries were the freest ever, passing vote confidence in the whole process.
“The supervisory teams sent to observe the elections across the zone turned in excellent performance reports from all the seven Northwestern APC States,” he said
He said among those that have the highest performance marks was Kano whose elections were free, fair and credible and conducted by officials, delegates and INEC.
“Kano State Primaries for gubernatorial aspirants was indeed one of the best not only in the North West Zone but across all states of the federation,” he added.
He said the reports have been sent to the National Headquarters of the party.
The statement, however, commended all the APC governors in the zone for allowing hitch-free primary elections in their respective states.
