The Police Command in Niger State North central Nigeria has disbursed over 64 Million Naira to deceased families of police personnel in the Command.
The Commissioner of Police in Niger State, CP. Monday Bala Kuryas presented the cheques to 30 different families of the dead police officers who died in active service in the Command between the years 2020/2021.
The gesture according to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, is an initiative of the Inspector General of Police tagged “Group Life Assurance” geared towards improving the lives and capacity of the families left behind by these heroic officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The Commissioner of Police Bala Kuryas, who further appreciated the Inspector General of Police for the laudable initiative to the families of deceased police personnel, encouraged the beneficiaries to effectively manage and judiciously use the resources for better welfare of the families.
The families, however, expressed appreciation to the Nigerian Police Inspector General of Police, for ensuring better care for the bereaved families, while assuring that the resources will be well managed towards an improved standard of living for the families.
