2022 Hajj: Nasarawa state Governor tasks pilgrims to be good ambassadors

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has tasked the 684 intending pilgrims from the state to the holy land of Saudi Arabia to be good ambassadors.
The Governor made the call today in Lafia when he bid farewell to the Nasarawa State pilgrims at an occasion held at the State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board.
“I congratulate you for being among the chosen ones to perform this year 2022 pilgrimage in the holy land, be a good ambassador of Nasarawa State, kidnapping and other security changes are bedeviling our society, pray for Nasarawa State, pray for Nigeria”
“We have tried our best and ensured that the limited number of approved pilgrims to the State are only those who have paid in previous years and were not able to go due to Covid – 19 are the ones going.
“I have appointed an experienced person in Hajj activities, the Number Three Citizen of the State, the Speaker to lead government delegation, Alh. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi is the 2022 Amirul – Hajj for Nasarawa State.
The State Amirul – Hajj who is the Speaker of the State Assembly, Balarabe Abdullahi appreciated Governor Abdullahi Sule for finding him worthy to lead this year’s Hajj and promised to justify the confidence reposed on him.
“I sincerely thank His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi Sule, our Governor, our leader for having faith and trust in me, and I will do my best to deliver, I will do my best to see that this year’s Hajj is one of the best in the State.
“All officials will have equal voice in giving advices so that collectively we will work as a team to give the best result.
“Our country needs prayer, our State needs prayer, we will go and pray for the Governor, the State and the country “He said.

The occasion which had in attendance the State Chief Judge Justice Aisha Bashir Aliyu and Sangarin Kwandare HRH Alh Ahmadu Abdun Kura saw the Chairman of the Pilgrims Board Mallam Abdullahi Gindau and the Secretary of the board Idris Almakura delivered keynotes address.
