The Gombe State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has concluded orientation exercise for 2022 intending Hajj pilgrims, ahead of its proposed timeline to airlift all the Pilgrims from 20th -21st June, to Saudi Arabia.
The exercise which was conducted at the Government Arabi School, Gombe, by experts on Hajj was enriched with hajj rites as well as other guidelines stipulated by relevant authorities to enable them carry out a successful Hajj exercise.
The exercise witnessed both practicals and theory, where scholars and other experts led the intending pilgrims on mock hajj exercises at the former Arabic Teachers College Gombe, school premises.
In his remarks at the closing session of the training ,the Secretary to the Gombe state government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who was represented by the Executive Secretary of the Gombe State Muslims Pilgrims welfare board, Alh Sa’adu Hassan Adamu, advised the intending pilgrims to take advantage of the knowledge acquired during the period to ensure that they attained acceptable hajj.
He reassured participants of the desire of the board to ensure pilgrims got value for their Hajj.
He reiterated Government’s determination to support the board in ensuring all intending pilgrims were served diligently, with utmost commitment in order to get value of their investment in Hajj.
The newly appointed Chairman of the Board, the Emir of Dukku, Alh. Haruna Abdulkadir Rasheed, emphasised on the need for all the intending pilgrims to follow the rules and regulations laid by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and asked them to be good ambassadors while in the Holy land.
The training was done both in theory and practicals, as usually done for all intending Pilgrims in Gombe,where more than 1000 intending pilgrims participated across the state.
