WAFCON 2022 Set For July 2nd Kick Off
The 2022 Women’s Africa Cup Of Nations (WAFCON) tournament will commence on the 2nd of July 2022 in Morocco, with the final match scheduled for the 23rd of July.
The tournament in Morocco will be the 14th edition of Africa’s biggest women’s sporting event, featuring some of the top female footballers plying their trade across the continent and beyond.

Hosts Morocco will take on debutants Burkina Faso, Senegal and Uganda in Group A, while Group B will be comprised of Cameroon, Zambia, Tunisia and Togo.
The pre-tournament favourites Nigeria are grouped with South Africa, first-time qualifiers Burundi and Botswana complete in Group C.
The Super Falcons of Nigeria beat South Africa 4-3 on penalties to lift the trophy four years ago, following a 0-0 draw in Accra, Ghana.
Togo, Burundi, Burkina Faso and Botswana will be appearing for the first time in the Women’s Africa Cup Of Nations.
