Ekiti Governorship election: counting begins as vote ends

Counting of votes have begun in the ongoing Ekiti State Governorship election.
Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, are counting and collating results at the different polling units across the State.
The election was generally peaceful and rancour free except for some reported cases of voter inducement and vote buying.
Meanwhile the outgoing Governor of Ekiti, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has won his polling unit for the candidate of his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.
APC won in Governor Fayemi’s Isan Ekiti, ward 11, polling unit 9 with 154 votes.
The SDP had three votes while the PDP had four votes.
Former Governor Segun Oni of the SDP also won in his polling unit with 218 votes, APC had 15 and PDP 3.
