The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, has resigned.

The Media aid to the CJN Mr. Ahuraka Isah confirmed the resignation of the CJN to judiciary correspondents in Abuja on Monday.

Voice of Nigeria Correspondent gathered that, arrangements are ongoing to swear in the next most senior justice of the Supreme Court who is Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria by President Muhammadu Buhari.
