Kaduna State government has handed over fifteen ambulances to the thirty one health facilities across the state.
The Commissioner, Ministry of Health, Dr. Amina Muhammed Baloni made the presentation at the ministry in Kaduna.
The Commissioner who was represented by the permanent secretary, Alhaji Adamu Mansur said, “The provision of the ambulances was to boost the delivery of quality health care services to residents of the state.”
He explained that the ambulances will aid in providing emergency services to patients in hospitals.
According to him, each of the ambulance is expected to cover it’s catchment area of primary and secondary health care center that might require such services.
Responding on behalf of the beneficial health facilities, the Medical Director, General hospital Sabon Tasha in Kaduna south, Dr Shagayya Solomon Nagari thanked the state government for the gesture and promised to use it judiciously.
