APC chieftain urges aggrieved members to reconcile

The Northwest Zonal Chairman of the  All Progressive Congress APC, Salihu Lukman has called on all aggrieved members of the party to reconcile before the 2023 general elections.

Lukman made the call at a meeting organised by the reconciliation committee for aggrieved members of 2023 post primary election of the party in Kaduna.

In attendance were the state Governor, Mal Nasiru El-Rufai, his deputy, Hadiza Balarabe, top government officials and other party leaders.

Lukman advised the aggrieved members of the party in the zone to ensure they reconcile to avoid the incident that occured in Zamfara state in 2019 where intra party crisis made the opposition party, PDP win the elections.

He explained that, those absent at the meeting got the invitation late but assured that, they will be reached individually for reconciliation.

Another meeting with those that were absent will be organised to resolve their grievances and ensure they play their roles towards ensuring the party’s  victory”.

“We are aware of what is happening and we will continue to discuss with them and ensure they play their role,” he stressed.

He However called on the aggrieved members to support the party leadership towards addressing their differences in order to move the party to victory in next year elections.

The Northwest zonal party leadership had toured the six states within the zone, with Katsina being the last to visit.
