The New Chairman of Anambra State football Association (ANSFA), Chikelue, says he has articulated a comprehensive blueprint to launch the state into global football map.
Iloenyosi, an ex-super eagles player told journalists in Awka, that development of all age graded categories of football would be given serious consideration.
Rising from his maiden meeting with football stakeholders in the state, he assured all stakeholders, football clubs, players, coaches, referees and administration of eventful programs.
“I have come to develop more football stars starting from the grassroots by promoting youth football competitions which will create a pathway to professionalism and bring out the best of our abundant talents.”
He added that effort would be made to attract corporate sponsorship involvement as well as foreign partnership to achieve the desired result, even as he said veteran football stars would also be recognized.
In a remark, Uzo Epundu, a football club owner, called for staging of workshops and seminars by the state football association for stakeholders to keep pace modern trends in football in line with international best practices.
Olisa Onuchukwu, Club Manager, Nnewi United Football Club described the new helmsman as a tested football player and administrator with capacity to turn around the fortunes of the state football.
