Governor’s Aide commends peaceful political activities in Niger State

The Special Adviser Political Matters in Niger State North Central Nigeria, Nma Kolo has expressed satisfaction with the peaceful political atmosphere existing in the state.
Kolo noted that despite divergent political views, there has been decorum among the leadership of the registered political parties and their members, which has made the state one of the most peaceful in the country.
He said; “The primaries of all the political parties were conducted under a peaceful atmosphere with winners being magnanimous in their victories and losers accepting their situation as an act of the Almighty.
“There is no doubt that the peaceful conduct of all the political parties has made the state the destination of the first choice for investors both local and foreign.”
Kolo however admonished the political class to continue with the situation especially now that a full-blown campaign would soon commence.
He said; “We should remember that we have no other state than Niger state and for us to continue to record economic and social growth, the political actors must act with decorum and sincerity of purpose. They must also put their followers and supporters under constant check”
Commendation of security agencies
He further commended the exploits of security agencies for the tremendous efforts they have put in place to restore peace in parts of the state bedeviled by armed bandits and other criminal activities.
“The way most of the bandits have been uprooted from their enclaves has restored the hope and confidence of the people and the government,” he stressed.
Kolo further said the ability to restore peace to bandit-infested areas has made it possible for people to return to their ancestral homes and continue with their normal agriculture activities.
He however assured the people that the Niger State government in North central Nigeria would continue to give the necessary wherewithal in ensuring the performance of all security agencies and other stakeholders without any hindrance.
