PDP vows to make Nigeria prosperous again

The Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, says the party has realised its past mistakes and is ready to correct them now.

Speaking after inaugurating his campaign office in Gombe, Mr Abubakar said; “PDP is a very popular party, the oldest party that might have made mistakes in the past, but we have realised our mistakes, and we are ready to correct those mistakes.”

Abubakar said he was still in dialogue with all the displeased members of the party, to reunite the party.

It would be recalled that some members of the party have been aggrieved over Atiku’s emergence as the Presidential Flag bearer on May 28, 2022.

Despite that, Abubakar said he believed that the party would be united in the end, to clinch victory, after comparisons were made on the track records of the PDP and its opponents.

For Dr Ahmed Gana, one of the officials of the Atiku Campaign Team in Gombe, it is quite obvious that the PDP would win, because of the huge crowd that turned out to greet Mr Abubakar in Gombe.

Dr Gana said; “We are ready. You can see from the response from the people.”

He said having Abubakar physically present to declare open his campaign office was indeed significant.

“It’s very significant for all of us that are in PDP in Gombe for us to have the presidential candidate here officially, with Sardaunan Gombe, Alhaji Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna as the Director General of the Campaign. So, it’s something that is beyond description. We are extremely happy that he was able to make it. This is one of the first offices that the Presidential Candidate was physically present to declare open. So, we are highly elated. We are very grateful to God for having time to come,” Dr, Gana said.

Similarly, Dr Dana believes the rift within the party would be resolved and the party reunited for guaranteed success of the PDP.
