Chief Ejidike in a statement to mark the independence celebration made this call stating that large numbers of the youths could develop their talents from such investment.

His flair for sports and contributions in the aspect of promotion and development spurred sports writers Association of Nigeria, (SWAN) to install him as Nigeria Pillar of sports.

He however, lamented that our leaders have deviated from the path created by the founding fathers who fought for the country’s independence in 1960.

Our leaders should have the courage to address issues of agitations and uphold justice in all ramification as well as equity. The youths should realise that they need to be involved in the political affairs of this country because unemployment, strikes in our educational institution and decay in our infrastructures affect the future of the youths,” he said.

He also tasked religious leaders to preach peace and not message of disintegration even as they pray and make supplications for our nation.
