A political Group known as ‘United Friends for Atiku’ UFFA has called on Nigerians to shun sensational and sentimental politics.

The National Coordinator of UFFA, Mr. Uche Chukwueke made this known in an exclusive interview with Voice of Nigeria in Abuja.

UFFA is a group made of up of professionals, friends across the country without political membership, who came together to endorse Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Candidate.

We collectively came together with the same opinion to support this one person we feel has the ability to take this country to the promise land, Atiku Abubakar is the right man for the job. We cut across religious divides, sectional divide, tribe, tongue, businesses and every other thing, we have the same mindset and the same outlook that’s what we are, United Friends for Atiku.

“For me, we must have a nation first before we have a government, personally within my self I find Atiku to be a unifier, a man who cuts across all tribes and religion he is someone that knows what we require, someone who has attended a lot in his wants to be there not for any selfish outlook.

“We are all here looking out for our children’s future and our children’s children’s tomorrow, I believe that I have already gone past from what I’m suppose to benefit, the nation has provided me with good education from primary, secondary and university that catapulted me and prepared me for life going forward. Atiku has shown that, that is what he has for Nigerians, a better opportunity to earn for themselves.

When Asked about having a younger candidate to take charge of the Country, Mr. Chukwueke said: “The same thing I feel about religion, tribe etc… Is the same I feel about age. Age is not a disease nobody is born 60 or 75years old. I can put back the question to you asking does a young person have enough experience? has he garnered enough experience to reach all the corners of this country especially dealing with our historical problems which was created over years. We need someone who has a better picture, a better understanding of the type of people we are, this is a man who is articulated, whose businesses are a success who can hold interviews at any time also plays football and does exercise and a lot of what young men do.

Mr. Bishop Adamu, the Publicity Secretary of the movement said: “I believe from what the national coordinator said, we will understand that Atiku is a very humble person from a humble background, he has a first hand experience of being an orphan and rising to excel in his endeavors, from public service career, to government and to private life. He is someone who has virtually succeeded in everything he has done.

“Talking about humility, we should remember he didn’t contest for presidential elections in 1999, rather he ran for the Gubernatorial elections in Adamawa and that was a humble match, he didn’t lobby to be vice president, but because of the qualities that were seen in him he was picked as the running mate of then president Olusegun Obasanjo.

Mr. Bishop further explained that, ” the problem we are all facing today as a nation didn’t start today but governments come in to solve situations not to complain on how problems came to be, the problems were mismanaged from where the current administration met it in 2015, a second chance was given to them in 2019 and it’s still mismanaged to present date.

“Atiku has a blueprint of what he has for Nigerians and it will be made public for everyone to see, which will also be scrutinized by the same public and others for the purpose of good and effective governance. I believe in what he has for Nigeria we all believe in that, that’s why we came together from diverse backgrounds to promote what he has which will be public in his policies document soon.
