The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Aminu Chinade, has urged the personnel of the Nigerian Armed Forces to maintain neutrality in all ramifications as the political campaigns ahead of the 2023 election kick off in the country.
He made the call when the Commander 671 Nigerian Airforce Detachment, Ibadan, Air Commodore Babatunde Folaji, paid a courtesy visit to further cement the already established relationship between the two Institutions.
While assuring the Nigerian Air Force Commander of continued help, the GOC enjoined commanders at all levels to continuously educate their subordinates and wards on personal and environmental security.
He affirmed the Nigerian Armed Forces would remain one indivisible institution that will continue to collaborate, cooperate, strategies, and synergise in defending the countries’ territorial integrity.
The GOC, while applauding the existing synergy and cooperation among the security agents in the Division Area of Responsibility, noted that everybody in the country looks up to the Armed Forces for security and a peaceful environment, which therefore calls for more collaboration, cross-information and the discharge of assigned duties with utmost responsibility.
