2023: PDP Presidential Candidate vows to complete Kaduna-Abuja highway

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has vowed to complete the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano highway. He also pledged to revive the moribund manufacturing industries if he becomes the next president in 2023.

Atiku made this known at a presidential rally held at the Ranches Bees stadium in Kaduna.

The Presidential Candidate thanked the people of the state for their steadfast support in 2019, saying they gave him the highest number of votes in 2019, and he believes they will do the same this time.

“I have come here on behalf of PDP to assure you that If you vote for us, we will end insecurity in Kaduna. We will revive the industries in Kaduna in partnership with the private sector of Kaduna.”

Atiku also spoke on the attempt to disrupt the rally by suspected thugs. He called on President Buhari to call on all political party supporters and members to order, especially because they all signed a peace accord.

He said the call became necessary given his persistent call for a free, fair, and safe election.

Also speaking, the Vice-Presidential candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa, mentioned that the south is ready to vote for the PDP and Atiku come 2023, following the party’s success in the recent gubernatorial election in Osun.

“I thank God for the life of Atiku, who has a solution to the problem we have in Nigeria. With Atiku as President, we will not go to bed hungry, and he is ready to end insecurity in Northern Nigeria.

“Those of us in the South-south, Southeast and Southwest are all ready to vote Atiku and the PDP,” he stressed.

Earlier, the Director General of the campaign council, Governor Aminu Tambuwal said the attempt to disrupt the rally failed.

He says, “they do not want us to continue with our rallies because they are not prepared.”

While addressing the mammoth crowd, the state Chairman of the party, Felix Hassan Hyat, lamented how the APC-led government frustrated their efforts to use the Ahmadu Bello stadium, which was earlier slated to be the venue of the event.

“The Minister of Sports denied our party the opportunity to use the facility despite applying for it over seven days to the rally.”

Hyat contended the antics of the ruling APC government at the state and federal levels could not intimidate them.
