Amina Mohammed, Lafia
The Nasarawa Southern Senatorial Candidate under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Hon. Ogoshi Onawo has promised to design a youth empowerment platform aimed at reducing unemployment in the state.
Speaking at the inauguration of his campaign committee for the forthcoming 2023 General Election in Lafia the state capital, Onawa said that he has four cardinal points that he will face if given the mandate.
He listed the four cardinal points as “empowerment of women and youth, by taking the youth out of the street, and by taking them out of drugs as well, if the youth are engaged, definitely the rate of crime in the society will reduce”,
“The health facilities in my constituency would be improved, I have done it before and want to do more and better.
“Education is next in line as our children must go to school, by providing scholarships to those that cannot afford to send their children to school.
” I also intend to open my doors to people who will come to lay their complain and to be able to solve it for them”, Onawo noted.
He urged his colleagues to “always do good no matter how little it is and whether you know the person or not as you don’t know where your salvation will be coming from.”
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Advisory Committee, Sen. Solomon Adokwe, said he would do his work judiciously for victory during the election.
“I will advise him about how to go winning the election in the zone.
” As a four-time senator in the zone, I must have one or two tricks to apply to winning the election in the zone”, Adokwe said.
He commended INEC for putting machinery in place to conduct a free, fair, and credible election as every election would be won or lost at the polling unit.
“Election this time is going to be a game of numbers not a game of rigging, ballot snatching, and rewriting results, as results would be transmitted at the polling unit, once you win, you win, you lose, you lose that it is”, he added
On his part, the House of Representatives Candidate under the Lafia/Obi federal constituency Hon. Ahmed Dallah urged the party faithful to all come out en mass and vote for PDP in the forthcoming 2023 general election.
