The administration of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, North-Central Nigeria has continued to show giant strides in the education sector in recent times, investing and reinvesting in creating infrastructures to meet the educational needs of its indigenes.
This was revealed by Kogi State Commissioner for education, Wemi Jones to journalists in the state during their media tour as part of activities to mark 2022 NUJ press week in Lokoja, the state capital.
Mr. Wemi Jones noted that many ultra modern educational facilities are being constructed all over the state. He also lauded the administration achievement in establishing the Confluence University of Science and Technology Osara which has since absorbed students to study their courses of choice. The teaching hospital and Prince Abubukar Audu university have been well equipped to deliver on sound education and higher learning.
According to him, In Kogi State all school age children must go to school and there is a law to back it up where offenders will be prosecuted.

In the same vein, the commissioner for education, Kingsley Fanwo has reaffirmed governor Yahaya Bello’s commitment to revamp the education sector that the administration has achieved a lot stating that his legacies will outlive him.
The NUJ chairman Kogi state Chapter, comrade Adeiza Momoh Jimoh has commended the governor for all his achievements in the education sector in the state. He however expressed dissatisfaction with the way the government has not given the press enough chance to properly report the ongoing infrastructural development.
