Nigerian model wins Miss Intercontinental Africa in Egypt
33 years after Bianca Ojukwu won the Miss Intercontinental Africa, Nigerian model and actress, Joy Raimi Mojisola has won the title at the just concluded Miss Intercontinental pageant in Egypt.
Following the footsteps of Bianca Ojukwu in 1989, Osun state’s Mojisola beat 76 other competitors to win the 2022 title at the 50th edition.
Joy Raimi Mojisola also known as Tiwa is a 22-year-old Nigerian model and actress who was crowned Miss Port Harcourt city international 2021 who hails from Boripe local government area in Osun state Nigeria, born and raised in Rivers State Nigeria.
On her feat, Mojisola said: “I feel fulfilled being the Miss Intercontinental Africa, I’ve always wanted to make a change and I saw the opportunity and grabbed it as it came.
“As I’ve always said, part of the reasons I did compete in this pageant is to prove to young Nigerian/African girls that you can be whatever you want to be with hard work and persistence. Keep pushing your dreams.” She added.
