U-23 AFCON: Nigeria beat Tanzania 2-0, Reach Final Round

Nigeria’s U-23 football team, the Olympic Eagles, on Saturday, defeated the Young Taifa Stars of Tanzania 2-0 in the second leg of the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.

The first half of the game was a keenly contested as it ended goalless.

But the Nigerian side took over the game from the start of the second half, as Oguniyi Omojesu put Nigeria in front with a free-kick while second goal came from Success Makanjuola who scored from a penalty kick awarded.
