NPC Holds Workshop On 2023 Census in Anambra State

National Population Commission has called on the people of Anambra state to support the commission in its efforts to give Nigeria a reliable demographic data through the forthcoming Census.

 

The Commissioner representing Anambra State in the National Population Commission Mr Chidi Ezeoke, made the call during a two-day workshop on Compendium of Locality on 2023 Population Housing Census, organised by the Commission in collaboration with the Anambra State government in Awka.

 

Mr Ezeoke explained that the Compendium of Localities would be presented to President Muhammadu Buhari before the 2023 Population and Housing Census which he said was intended to be an aggregation of the consensus of stakeholders across the federation and would be placed in the Gazette places and names for the country.

 

Sustainable National Development

He gave assurance that this would be purposely relevant in the drive towards sustainable national development, noting that the Commission was committed to ensuring that everything about the census was done professionally.

 

The Secretary to the Anambra State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, represented by Mrs Onyinyechi.
