Elections: Zamfara State Council of Ulama seeks peace
The Zamfara State Council of Ulama of Nigeria has called on politicians to concentrate on issues that will bring peace and unity to the country for the successful development of democracy and the nation as a whole.
The chairman of the council in the state, Sheik Ahmad Umar Kanoma, made the call at a peace dialogue meeting organized for party chairmen and other stakeholders in Gusau, the state capital.
He noted that politics of bitterness cannot help the country to move forward, as politicians should be a guide to the youths on the issue of unity.
“The Council is not in any way supporting politics of bitterness because it destroys unity,” said Sheik Kanoma.
