Nigeria’s Minister of Water Resources, Engr. Suleiman Adamu has commended the FCT Administration for the confirmation of appointment of Dr. Mohammed Ali Dan-Hassan as the Executive Director of FCT Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Directorate (RUWASSA).
In a congratulatory letter to Dr. Dan-Hassan, Engr. Suleiman Adamu stressed that the decision was a clear indication of the commitment and dedication Dr. Dan-Hassan exhibited in the delivery of effective rural Water supply, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services in the FCT.
He further noted that for the confirmation to come just after the World Toilet Summit, it shows the political will of the Federal Capital Territory Administration in achieving open defecation free status.
The Minister promised continued partnership with RUWASSA in water, sanitation and hygiene sector.
Also reacting, the Rotary International District 9125, in a statement by Dr. Goddy Nnadi, described the appointment as a welcome development and timely.
He said Dr. Dan-Hassan, who has been a major donor in the humanitarian organisation, is a meritorious achiever that fits the office.
Similarly, the Public Convenience Maintenance Association (PCMA) in the FCT, congratulated Dr. Dan-Hassan and urged its members to rally round the Executive Director to get rid of open defecation in the FCT.
The chairman of PCMA, Alhaji Aminu Musa, described Dr. Dan-Hassan as a seasoned and hardworking public servant, who deserves such a recognition.
