Teeming eligible Nigeria youths have been admonished to be actively involved in the electioneering process, by interrogating anything that any candidate is telling them.

This is coming as the 2023 general election is getting closer.

The youths in particular, are cautioned to be wary of candidates who are feeding them with lies and wrong rhetorics, hence the need to criticise and ask the necessary  questions, as it is about them.

The Director, Support Group and Event for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Presidential Campaign Council, Honourable Oladimeji Fabiyi, who gave the charge, noted that the 2023 election is about the future of the country.

He spoke at the  public presentation of the book titled Atiku Abubakar: The man for Nigeria, authored by Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.

Fabiyi, who represented the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, said the youths, who are the biggest demography in the election, should not allow anyone to chock anything that is untoward in their neck.

He says, “Everywhere I go to represent him(Atiku), I always speak for myself, so I tell our Youth who are the biggest demography in this election, it is important that they don’t allow anyone to chock anything that is untoward in their neck. So they must try as much as possible to interrogate anything that any candidate is telling them.

“Atiku Abubakar is not coming to governance, because he needs Nigerian money, marry a new wife, buy a new private or build new houses, but to help recover the country. So the youth should stand up and support Atiku Abubakar, who is seeking a partnership with them.”

Ealier, the author of the book having six chapters and 201 pages, Dr. Emeka Kalu, noted that as clearly espoused in the book, 2023 is “one best chance to elect a leader with verifiable track records of leadership success, and in all walks of life.

“This is our chance to elect a man who is highly detribalised, an unrepentant defender of justice, and sensitive to the diversities of our country,” Dr Kalu added.
