Islamic Body honours APC’s Presidential Candidate in Niger State

An Islamic body has honoured the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, for service to humanity.

Tinubu was honoured during the 5th Nigeria World Maulud Celebration of Jam’iyatul Ansarul Deeni Attijjaniya organized by the Tijaniyya sect in Minna, the Niger state capital, North-Central Nigeria.

The Grand Khalifa of the Tijaniyya Sect worldwide, Sheik Ibrahim Nyass, who described the APC’s presidential candidate as a trusted man in terms of human and infrastructural development, endorsed him and pledged the sect’s absolute support.
“Based on the track records of Bola Tinubu in Lagos state, he is confident that when elected, he will transform the country,” Shiek Nyass added.
He further assured that he will pray tirelessly for the victory of Tinubu in the 2023 general elections and charged Muslim Ummah to continue to pray for the peace of the nation and an end to all security challenges bedevilling the country.
President Muhammadu Buhari, in his message through the Minister for State, Foreign Affairs, Amb. Zubairu Dada, also prayed for sustained peace in the country and successful general elections.

The Governor of Niger state, Abubakar Sani Bello, stressed that the state and the country at large has been challenged by insecurity, hence the need for Nigerians to always maintain peace in the country as a panacea for development.
Governor Sani also used the opportunity to thank Allah as he clocked 55 years of age on December 17, same birthday with President Muhammadu Buhari, who turned 80 years.
“I am grateful to Allah for sparing my life, for getting me through most of the challenges I have gone through, for keeping me in good health,” he said.

The Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers and Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar enjoined Muslims to emulate the exemplary lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

The APC’s gubernatorial candidate in Niger state, Mohammed Umar Bago; that of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Isah Liman Kantigi; and Senator Sani Musa, Lawmaker representing Niger East Senatorial District, donated ten million naira (N10,000,000) each at the event.
