The Kano State Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Nasiru Gawuna has assured that his administration would not disappoint the people in providing an inclusive leadership of making Kano work for all through consolidating on the achievements recorded to create opportunities for them.
Gawuna who is also the incumbent Deputy Governor of the state made the remark as he met with the Kano State Stakeholders based in Abuja, the nation’s capital as part of his continuous engagements with various groups.
During the event held in a Town Hall Meeting fashon at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, organised by the Directorate of Stakeholders Management of his Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Gawuna enjoined all Kano citizens to join hands in order for development plans in the state to attain maximum height.
“I want us to come together and join hands to develop Kano to greater heights,” he said
Gawuna reiterated his commitment of enhancing health service delivery through strengthening of the Primary Health Care Centres.
Gawuna also promised to continue the improvement of construction and renovation of school structures, provision of instructional materials and sustainance of the training of teachers on modern educational management so as to equip them for the overrall educational advancement of the system.
He pointed out that if elected as Governor, his administration would ensure effectiveness of the Civil Service, Agriculture, Environment, empowerment of youths and women as well as as boost internally generated revenue to bring additional development through investors.
The APC Gubernatorial Flagbearer however appreciates the Kano indigines based in Abuja for their support and cooperation towards his candidature.
The Chairman of the occasion, Professor Munzali Jibril described Gawuna as a man of ingenuousness and humility.
“I have tremendous respect for Dr.Gawuna because he reflects and exhibits the good moral upbringing he got from his family.
“This consultation with Kano community about his plans(Gawuna)and programmes is a clear demonstration of his vision for the development of the State therefore I want to assure you of our support,we are solidly behind you” he said.
In attendance during the townhall meeting were the Minister of State for Works and Housing Alhaji Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub, Senator Kabiru Gaya, serving and former members of the House of Representatives, Senior Special Assistants to the President, Director General of the Gawuna-Garo Gubernatorial Campaign Council Alhaji Rabi’u Suleiman Bichi alongside Spokesman Mallam Muhammad Garba.
Others were Former Ministers Lt. General Abdurrahman Bello Dambazau and Aisha Ismail, Director Generalof Standard Organisation of Nigeria Mallam Farouk Salim, Alhaji Inuwa Waya and Members of the Private sector.
