The Kwara State Government has called on the people of the state to ensure they obtain their Permanent Voter’s Cards, PVCs ahead of the coming 2023 general election and go out to vote for the right candidate.
The state Commissioner for Communications, Abubakar Saddiq Buhari, made the call in a statement on the importance of voters participation in the electoral process.
Buhari noted that there were indications that the turn out for the voter’s card collection by prospective voters was not encouraging.
He reminded the electorate that they have a right to vote and it was their Permanent Voter’s Cards that would enable them to do this.
“Come 2023, let us go out to vote for the right candidate. Let us vote for the right party in all the seats” he pleaded.
” Go out and exercise your franchise. Get your PVC and do not sell your vote. Please do not let anybody deceive you. We can all see the great work this administration is doing, let us support Mallam AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq,” the commissioner submitted.
Buhari also urged Kwarans to ensure they vote for credible and forward-thinking candidates while also shunning all acts of violence and thuggery in the build up to the elections and after.
The Commissioner also advised personnel of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to make the voter card collection process hitch free as much as possible.
