A Civil Society Organization, De-Forum Progressive Movement, has applauded the over 50 constituency projects delivered by Chief Kwamoti Laori to the people of Numan/ Demsa/ Lamurde federal constituency in Adamawa state, North-east Nigeria.
The chairman of the organization, Emmanuel Dawson, gave the applaud while presenting an Award of Honour to Chief Kwamoti Laori, who at the federal level represents the three local government areas at the House of Representatives.
“The four public-spirited bills sponsored by Chief Laori in the past years and various motions targeted at good governance has made outstanding impact on the lives of ordinary Nigerians and the country’s political arena.
“Chief Laori is a prime example of democratic representation,” Dawson said.
Also, the chairman of the event, Chief Maiden Fwa, and other dignitaries at the occasion expressed pride in the quality of legislative representation that Chief Laori provides for the people of their constituency.
On his part, the recipient of the award, Chief Laori assured the people of his constituency of his commitment to doing more, if voted into power in the 2023 general elections.
He re-emphasized that the essence of him being elected to represent his people was to serve their interest, which he will not relent in doing.
The event drew the attention of top government officials at all levels, traditional rulers from the constituency, youths and women groups as well as thousands of supporters from the three local government areas that form the constituency.
Meanwhile, the organizer, De-Forum Progressive Movement, is an advocacy group based in Adamawa state. It promotes good governance and espouses the ideals of representative democracy.
De-Forum Progressive Movement is also active in the promotion of peace and conflict resolution in the society.
