The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has enjoined Nigerians to embrace peace and oneness, and eschew discord in the spirit of the New Year 2023 celebration.
The APC presidential aspirant made the appeal via his official twitter handle, @officialABAT, on Sunday as the world ushered in the New Year.
He urged Nigerians to look beyond ethnic, tribal and religious differences.
“Last year I identified, as one of our major problems, a lack of peace and an absence of unity.
“In this New Year, let us set aside discord and put away our differences.
“Let us, instead, chart a course of progress and development for our great nation through constructive discourse and the intellectual exchange of ideas.
“As we go into 2023, let us remember at all times to live in peace.
“… Remember that we are one people, united under one flag, Nigerians.
“Let us, together, reach for our nation’s best destiny.
“I wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2023 in peace and good health, in progress and in unity,” he said.
