The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has promised to secure all parts of the country and unite Nigerians, if he emerges the next president.
Mr. Obi made the promise on Friday during the party’s campaign in Ebonyi state, South-east Nigeria to canvass for votes from the people of the state.

Upon his arrival Obi and his entourage were welcomed by a mammoth crowd at the Abakaliki Township Stadium, in the state capital.
“I am not contesting for President because I am an Igbo man but as one of the most qualified candidates in Nigeria.
“I am a Nigerian and qualified, so I urge all Ebonyi people to vote for me.
“Previous administrations have failed. All we are experiencing in Nigeria today is suffering and scarcity of everything, including new naira notes which are no where to be found.
“A litre of premium motor spirit (PMS) is almost N500, so we are not going to continue like this.
“Nigeria will be changed from a consumption to a production and exporting country,” Obi said.
He appealed to all Nigerians to cast their votes for him, promising to boost the economy of the country as well as the security.
The national chairman of Labour Party, Mr. Joseph Abure, assured that there would be a  turnaround and good testimonies within a short period of time of electing the Labour Party into power.

Meanwhile, Mr. Obi was in Aba, Abia state earlier in the day, where he held an interactive meeting with the Abia State Traditional Rulers Council.

He also met with the business community in Aba:

While still in Abia state, Mr. Obi touched down at the Mater Dei Cathedral, Umuahia, to continue with his political engagements in the state.

But the pupils of Mercy Nursery and Primary School (who share border with the Cathedral) caught wind of his presence and trooped out en masse to catch a glimpse of the LP presidential candidate.
