President Buhari meets Security Chiefs

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari is in a meeting with Service Chiefs and other heads of security agencies at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Attendees at the meeting include; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.

Others include; the Minister of Defence, Bashir Magashi, Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Army Staff; Lieutenant-General Ibrahim Attahiru, Chief of Naval Staff; Vice Admiral Auwal Zubairu, and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Ishiaka Amao and the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

Also attending the meeting, which started at 09:00 GMT are the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, Director General, State Security Services, Yusuf Bichi and that of the National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Abubakar Rufa’i

.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina had in a statement released on Monday night, said; ”President Muhammadu Buhari proceeds to London, the United Kingdom, Tuesday March 30, 2021, for a routine medical check-up.

“The President meets with Security Chiefs first in the morning, after which he embarks on the journey.”

The last time the President was in London for medical checks was 14 months ago.
