Former Vice-President Osinbajo returns to Lagos

Nigeria’s former Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has returned to Lagos after the completion of eight years tenure.
Professor Osinbajo in the company of his wife arrived at the Presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport on Saturday and was welcomed by friends and well-wishers.
Professor Osinbajo thanked Nigerians and promised to remain committed to the growth and development of the country.
He said: ”I’m very grateful to God, after such a long time, eight years, very long time and all of you I am seeing here today are people who have kept up with me at all times.
“And you are here again to celebrate our returning home”
The immediate vice president said: “The past administration came in to create a better Nigeria, of course, we can’t change Nigeria overnight but we remained committed to that call of having a better Nigeria. It was a good opportunity to serve our country. God bless you all.”
The media assistant to the ex-vice president said his boss would be greatly missed for his versatility in economy and governance.
He equally said that the past would remain active in politics even as he leave office.
