Hajj: Oyo State airlifts first batch of Muslim Pilgrims

The Oyo State Government has commenced the airlift of intending Muslim pilgrims with the state Pilgrim Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) to the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia for the 2023 hajj exercise, with the first batch airlifted.

 

The first batch which was airlifted on Thursday, aboard Aero Contractor Airline, departed the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos State to Medina, Saudi Arabia around 11:50 pm.

 

The total number of pilgrims airlifted is four hundred and seventy-five (475) comprising 236 males and 239 females.

 

The second batch of the intending pilgrims is expected to be airlifted on Friday and would be followed by the third and fourth batches.
