The Supertar, while sharing his journey with Don Jazzy and how he became a successful artiste in an interview with a popular radio station in Lagos, he said in part” “Me and Don Jazzy have always had a bond. He knows I always come with energy.

“Even in the studio, I’m always pumped. I’m always feeling like we should do something together; let’s do this sound. And he makes sure he kills it.

“So, it’s like a symbiotic [relationship. I feel like me and Don Jazzy created the syllabus of music. We created a syllabus of music and a lot of people read that and then took what they had to take to create their own. And that is what is happening now.

“There is no problem with that as long as we are still here making magic with the new generation’s sounds.”
Wande Coal was signed by Don Jazzy and D’banj to Mo’Hits Records some years back and rocked the music scene for a while before they went their separate ways.

Coal would later join Jazzy’s Mavin Records for a few years before leaving for the United Kingdom where he lived for a while before returning to Nigeria to pick up where he stopped.
