The Governor of Ebonyi state, Mr Francis Nwifuru had approved the immediate recruitment of 195 health workers to be engaged into the State Health institutions.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Spokesperson to the Governor, Dr. Monday Uzor in Abakaliki the State Capital The decision is in fulfilment of his campaign promise to reposition the health sector.
“The Governor of Ebonyi, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has approved immediate recruitment of medical personnel for the thirteen General Hospitals in the State”
“The breakdown are as follows, thirty Nine Medical Doctors, thirty Nine Nurses, thirty Nine Laboratory Scientists, thirty Nine pharmacists and thirty Nine Health Attendants”. Uzor said.
The health workers would work in the 13 general hospitals in the state and other health facilities in the rural areas of the state.
It could be recall that since 13 general hospitals were renovated under David Umahi’s led administration with less health workers.
