The Nasarawa State Police command has paraded a Kuje prison escapee and other suspected criminals in the state.
Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) in the state, DSP Ramhan Nansel, stated this while parading the suspects at the Police headquarters in Lafia, the state capital.
He said the Kuje escapee was arrested for breaking into a house and stealing two phones and a plasma television.

“On 08/06/2023 at about 14:30hrs, a complaint of housebreaking and theft was lodged at Masaka Division Headquarters.
“Upon receipt of the report, police detectives attached to Masaka Division launched a diligent investigation into the case. Consequently, one Haruna Sunday was arrested in connection to the case.
“Upon the interrogation, the suspect confessed to have escaped from Kuje prison when it was attacked in 2022. He shall be handed over to Nigeria Correctional Service for further action”, PPRO said.
Speaking during an interview with the escapee, Haruna Sunday, he said he regretted his action.
“We stole two phones and a plasma television in a house at Masaka, we were arrested and the properties were returned to the owners”, Sunday said.
Similarly, seventeen other criminals were also paraded for various crimes across the state.
Among these are: Two Indian hemp dealers, two Armed robbers/Kidnappers, four criminal conspiracy and attempts to commit an offense to wit unlawful possession of a prohibited firearm among others.
