As Muslims bask in the euphoria of Eid Al-Adha, the Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, has admonished Nigerians, irrespective of ethnic, religious and political divides to renew their faith and pray for the unity, peace and stability of the nation.

In a Sallah message issued by his media office in Ilorin, Senator Mustapha, who is the Turaki of Ilorin, noted that the challenges bedevilling the society and the nation at large are surmountable if the dictates of the noble Qur’an and the Hadith of the holy Prophet Muhammad are religiously followed.

The legislator called on Muslims in Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole to use the occasion of the festival to join hands with President Ahmed Bola Tinubu-led administration in its determination to build a peaceful and harmonious country.‎

Mustapha, however, urged Muslims, particularly the Islamic preachers, teachers and leaders to always preach morals, piety, love and other values of Islam among their disciples for the restoration of peace in the society.

The Turaki of Ilorin also urged adherents of Islam to exemplify commitment, dedication and perseverance to higher authorities as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to the will of God.

He said, “Eid Al-Adha is a reminder of the selflessness and devotion of Prophet Ibrahim. This is a glorious festivity to deepen our connection with Allah and to renew our commitment to follow His command.

“Let us also remember the millions of people who are battling poverty, hunger, and conflict throughout the world. Through our acts of kindness and charity, we can make a positive impact in the world.

Mustapha, therefore, urged Nigerians to rededicate themselves to the cause of serving their creator, country and humanity as a whole.
