Ebonyi State Government Promises Partnership With Heads of Federal Establishments

The Office of the Secretary to the Ebonyi State Government SSG, has expressed its readiness to have more working relationship with all the Federal Government Establishments in the State.
The Secretary to the State Government SSG, Professor Grace Umezurike disclosed this during the Interactive meeting with all the Heads of the Federal Establishments in the State.
Professor Umezurike said the interaction was to familiarize with all the heads to enable her identify each other.
She however urged all the Federal Establishments in the State to inform the State Government of their recruitment exercise to avoid shortchanging Ebonyi people.
“Federal Character should be used in recruitment exercise to represent Ebonyi people well at the national level” she said.
On his Part, the Acting Chairman of Association of Heads of Federal Establishments (AHFE), Mr Ejike Nwodo of National Film Censor Board informed the SSG of good synergy to make sure that the aims of collaborating with State Government is achieved.
“I want to inform you that we have over 80 Federal Establishments here in Ebonyi State, but at the Federal level, we have over 560 MDAs. I want you to work hard so that more Establishments will come to the State as it will help to reduce unemployment in the State”. Nwodo added.
Nwodo however urged the State Government to build an estate for the Heads of the Federal Establishments to cushion the effects of lack of accomodations.
Consequently, he thanked the State Government for their hospitality so far.
